Copper Tongs $4.50 Copper tongs can be used to immerse or remove items from pickle and other acidic solutions without contaminating the solution.  Charcoal Block $7.75 This is a soft charcoal block. It can be used with pins to support your work while soldering. The block can also be carved on each side and used as a mold. Charcoal does a great job of reflecting heat. 3 1/2" x 2 1/4" x 1 1/2". Compressed Charcoal Block $10.50 Compressed charcoal does not deteriorate as quickly as soft charcoal, lasting three to five times as long.  It also has better heat retention which allows the user to solder faster and easier with better solder flow and better reflective heat.  These blocks are larger than many on the market, giving additional work area, and are made of hardwood in Poland.  5 1/2" x 2 3/4" x 1 1/4". Magnesia Block $4.50 The asbestos-free magnesia block is soft enough for pins to be placed in it, holding your work for you.  The block can be sanded down to regain a flat surface. 6" x 3" x 1 1/2". The block withstands temperatures up to 2000 degrees. Solderite Pad $6.75 This block is asbestos free and is soft, so you can insert pins to hold your work. The block can be sanded to regain a flat surface. It is heat reflective and withstands temperatures up to 1700 degress. 6" x 6". Standard Soldering Pick $2.50 This 6 1/4" pick is made from a special alloy that withstands high temperatures and has an insulating wood handle. The point can be bent to any shape without breaking.  Titanium Solder Pick $3.25 The best feature of a titanium pick is that solder tends to not stick to it. However, this pick can not withstand extremely high temperatures, so it is not appropriate for working with platinum. Dandix Paste Flux 1.5 oz. $5.50 This size container is easy to transport. Just add a little water to the flux before using. Dandix flux was selected because it does not contain fluoride or cadmium, two substances that produce hazardous fumes when heated. Be sure to follow all safety instructions. Dandix Flux 8 oz. $8.50 The larger size is more economical. Add a little water to the paste before fluxing. Dandix can be used with ferrous and non-ferrous metals. Oxides begin to disolve at 800 degrees and the fluid is active between 1100 and 1600 degrees. Artist's Brush Set $1.99 The set includes 12 sizes of brushes. They are all natural hair brushes and can be used to flux.  They are also useful for enameling and applying patina. Fine Point Tweezers $1.75 The fine point tweezers are the best for picking up pieces of solder. Heat Resistant Cross Lock Curved Tweezers $2.50 These tweezers have a wood handle that helps insulate them from heat while soldering. They can be used with the third hand. Heat Resistant Cross Lock Straight Tweezers $2.50 These tweezers have a wood handle which helps insulate them from heat while soldering. These can be used with the third hand. Third Hand $5.95 The third hand is great for holding your work steady while soldering and allows both hands to be free while working.  The third hand includes a pair of tweezers. Tripod $6.95 The tripod allows a piece to be heated from all directions. It can be used for heating, brazing, soldering, and enameling and can be used as a stand over an alcohol lamp or bunsen burner.  The mesh screen deteriorates after use, so check your local hardware store for replacement screen that you can cut to size. Snips $3.50 These snips will cut up to 14 gauge wire.   They are great for cutting solder, wire, bezel, and thin scrap.  Comfortable to use and can be resharpened.  Not recommended for use on metal sheet.
